Sounds like a good plan returning the sliders you have. I have the CPP tubular trans crossmember as well and really like it. As for faster progress, I've been saving up and trying to do it right the first time. The wife gets a little irritated from time-to-time but it's all good. Once she takes a ride in it the first time, she'll totally get it!

Speaking of doing it right the first time, I decided to go ahead and buy a new carb (Edelbrock Performer 600) and a couple of other motor related parts. Getting closer!
