On the valve cover grommets I think I am going to try and reuse them since I just need it to run to move around the house. Later I'll go back replace of I use it.
I think I should try n move this to lsX swap thread seams to be more action going on over there..

I think you will have plenty of power to tow with and use 4X4 too.
I actually had the chance to switch to a 2001 5.3 and I stuck with the 4.8 there was only 15 HP difference. I won't be switching mine unless it's a 6.0 or bigger. I have a feeling I will be plenty happy with the 4.8.
