yeah, agreed they are possibly in backwards. it seems counterintuitive (my big word for the day) but makes sense if you really think hard and ponder on it for days. haha
they kinda work like a wedge shaped seal when in correctly. that allows the door to close further before contact which may be just what you need.
as mentioned here by others, buy the best, softest seal you can to allow as much give as possible but try the ones you have, installed in reverse of whats there. keep us posted.
