Here is a few pics of the CUCV mounts...they bolt to the frame & stick through the bumper. These are on an '87 but could probably be made to work with a 1st gen without too much trouble.
A guy called & said he wanted to buy them so I took them off & even took pics so he could see how it all mounted, then I never heard from him again
Anyway if you decide to go this route I can hook you up.
