Re: Crown Vic front end on a 67-72?

I do not feel the suspension geometry is better then a modified cross member having riden in both. The brakes are taller and thinner vs the heavier 1/2 ton. So better is likely negligible. Big brake kits with SRT8 parts are easy which is only really plus. Converting drum spindles gets complicated on alignment.

The rack is a plus but factory setting suck. So a rebuild is in order.

For a Ford I wouldn't hesitate to do one, bit on a Chevy I would like use Jag parts. Forgive me Ireland. The jag handles awesome takes junkyard big brake kits just as easy, an is steel so fabrication is easier.

Forgot to mention the rear A-arm mount sits pretty far back causing issues with a frame section, and the cross member hangs low.

The jag has better after market support. Forgive me Ireland. Plus a whole car is easier to get for less then a 1000, an you can. Have IRS too.
