I'm with you. They should be mechanically compatible but that's just my thought on the matter. GM might have a different opinion, they often do.

Just checked on Car-part.com and they don't list Yukon XL seats when I search for Suburban or Tahoe seats and vice versa.
They also didn't list Cadillac Escalade seats in either search.
They did list GMC Envoy seats along with GMC Yukon & Yukon XL seats.

The upholstery may be slightly different between the Chevy and GMC since GMC is a slightly upmarket trim and options package.

I'd talk to a local salvage yard you do business with and ask them to look it up in the Hollander interchange. It's unlikely you're the only one that's thought about this.
