That's the way I went. Simple, relatively inexpensive, flow tested, and guaranteed. And they have the equipment to do things I would have a hard time doing, like replating worn parts. In my case I went with a carb for a 78 so I could add the electric choke.

I don't know how visible it is in the picture, but the tag on the left side of the carb (in the picture) is a dyno tag. Every one National sells is tested before it leaves their shop.
