Re: 2005 3500 driveshaft support bearing

I figured I'd update this in case anyone runs into this same situation. Dana/Spicer shows 3 of these assemblies as having the same bearing, but with different options. One shows as having no spacer and no studs; one has studs, but no spacer; and the third (212032-1x) has both spacer and studs. One set of instructions I found said to reuse the spacer and studs from the old support bearing to use on the new one. I chose to buy the third hanger bearing assembly so I got new spacer and studs already installed on it. The price difference wasn't much so it made sense to buy it all new. Hopefully this may help someone in the future.
Just a note: a few of the manufacturers show a 35 mm bearing as an option. According to my research, there is no such thing for the 2500/3500 series Duramax trucks. It should be a 40 mm bearing. There seems to be quite a bit of confusion on the driveshaft u joints and hanger bearings, since a couple different manufacturers made them for GM. Mine is a Spicer, others are AAM. You have to check your truck to make sure you order the right parts.
