THE ONLY REASON IT DIDN'T CATCH FIRE WAS MY BATTERY WAS THROWN OUT DURING ONE OF THE ROLLS. LUCKY ME-- I GOT OUT OF IT WITH A BROKEN BACK, 14 BROKEN RIBS, A BROKEN COLLAR BONE & ABOUT 300 STITCHES ON MY MELLON. SO YA .... IT IS KINDA A SAFETY THING. I CONSIDER THESE TANKS A BIG BOMB BEHIND THE SEAT ALSO. THE REASON YOU DON'T HERE ABOUT ALOT OF THE PROBLEMS WITH THEM IS THAT MOST OF THE PEOPLE WHO EXPERIANCED PROBLEMS WITH THEM ARE DEAD. JOHN

As if this weren't reason enough, smelling fuel is not good for you either! I am going to do the swap for the above reason and that I once had a 67 (years ago) and it leaked fumes into the truck regularly and I need all the brain cells that survived college so Blazer tank here I come. I may even fab one up myself. I have access to a TIG welder and I can buy the SS, I plan to run an LT1 and need the intank pump.
