Over my peel and seal, I used some industrial rubber foam mat (almost a 1/2" thick) then carpet. The inside of my truck is so quiet, you almost don't know it's running.

I got the mat from a carpet store in town. I called them looking for something, he asked what it was for and was excited to help (he has a '55 Chevy truck). He gave me enough to cover everything and because it wasn't enough for anything he does, he just gave it to me.
