Jeros, what size holes are they for the "T" shaped inserts you made? The single wall has the channel like BobbyK shows above but the double wall needs the inserts. Both should be glued with 3M 8008 adhesive right? When I had my double wall top painted, they filled in the clip holes and the screw holes for the drip rails. I have attached the Blazer image from LMC ONLY as a way to help communication. Pictures help.
