Re: 1970 C10 No Brake Lights or Tail Lights

The orange wire to the brake light switch and the dome light are powered from the battery and not the key switch. There is a 12 gauge red wire tee in the harness under the dash and it sis shown in the following diagram. The wires are 12 gauge and they feed the horn relay, the light switch, the ignition switch, and the fuse panel. The one to the fuse panel supplies the full time 12 volts to the orange wire for the stop switch the dome fuse and the stop tail fuse.

The orange wire that supplies the stop switch, dome fuse, and stop tail fuse also supplies the power to the headlight switch for the tail lights and the dash lights.
This is a clue that your problem is in the fuse panel since all those aren't working.

This diagram shows the key switch and the headlight switch where the red wires come in to the key switch and the orange wires go to the headlight switch and are extended from the fuse panel to the dome light.

If you have no power at the brake light switch then the fuse for the stop tail lights could be bad.
