I ran into the same crap so I made my own tv cable bracket, or perhaps more accurately modified a purchased bracket. Bow-tie stated they would custom fab one for me if I sent them my carb along with a fair amount of my favorite dollars.

The most important part is to find a place to mount the pivot pin to the carb linkage to achieve the arc needed for proper travel (IIRC 78 degrees). I made a template and found there was an existing hole that was within a couple degrees of where I wanted to be when measured from the butterfly pin. Still needed to fabricate a mounting point to the carb base (I have a 4G) but it works quite well.

I sourced many small items from a local small business that only does transmissions, the owner was quite helpful. Good luck, this project is possible with a little time and effort.
