hiked a couple miles down to Silesia ridge, but could'nt get close as the whole area around the base of Silesia is swamp...deep mucky swamp

almost stumbled in to this 6 foot deep hole. it's about 2' 1/2- 3' across and is an old rotten stump. the entire middle is gone, leaving just the outer, like a big tube
