Wow....Yea, I couldn't do that. I have the original side panels and there was no way the carpet was going to fit under the side panels. Plus, there are the small metal 90 degree angle pieces that the bottom of the panels screw into.
I guess you just never know when these trucks are pushing 50 years old! LOL!
