My dad has EBC rotors and pads on his '98 F-150 and he likes them much better then stock. Just because you can lock the brakes doesnt mean you have good enough brakes, as he can do a hard panic stop, and it doesnt ruin the pads or warp the rotors. On my 87 R10 with stock LD brakes, if you ever did a panic stop, you were replacing the pads and turning the rotors the next day. Also with the EBC they last way longer, make almost ZERO brake dust on the wheels and they can stand up to multiple hard stops without fade I could notice.

Locking the brakes is the worst thing you can do anyway, as you decelerate slower when skidding.

If you get the aftermarket rotors, stay away from CROSS DRILLED rotors, stick to slotted and/or DIMPLED rotors.
