Brutally honest!

I wonder why people think what came in them can't keep up with what's out there today? I mean how did people actually survive back in the day?

The first pickup I drove was my '60, bought for $75 bucks. I upgraded to my '70 C10 in High School. Drove for many years, year round.

I get 17 mpg average in my '72 K10. 34 miles round trip to work (1/2 highway 1/2 city) on one of the busiest roads in Montana When I bought it, I fixed what needed fixin' and some things that I didn't need but wanted.

A friend asked to borrow it to haul some yard stuff (his is real new and only has groceries and soft stuff in the bed). We were BBQing with several other friends at his place and he say's "Dang that thing rides rough!" I simply said "It's a pickup, not a car with a bed!" The wives all got a chuckle out of it but the other husbands just bowed their heads. HAHA
