Its just like a newer cars keyless push button start - it comes with an RFID keyfob - when the keyfob is close to the truck the button lights up, put your foot on the brake and push the button to crank the motor, hold it till it starts. Of course it doesn't do anything when the keyfob is away from the truck

Then to stop the motor you have to put your foot on the brake and hold the button for a few seconds. It's also wired through the neutral safety switch - pretty much just 5 wires to install it and they even used GM color coding so you just match up the colors.

It has all kinds of modes too - i haven't played with it but I believe you can have it leave the accessories on but lock the ignition (for car shows). It also has a manual mode where you have to push a lock/unlock button to 'activate' the system.

Its well thought out but super simple
