I have Magnaflows which seem mellow but that be different to someone with tinnitus.

I would say the most important part would be to make your exhaust pipes go all the way out the back. My temporary exhaust was some turbo mufflers and the pipes stopped just behind the cab, it was really loud and you couldn't talk while driving.
