Re: Shawno72's long overdue 68 daily driver build thread

Well as I am tearing the heads of the 350 I find this in the cam slot and once I look into the cyliders I can still see a lot of cross hatching. Someone has rebuilt this not long ago. I make the decision to keep the 350 and just reseal and paint it. It gets new oil pump, new fuel pump, new water pump, new billet HEI distributor, new Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, rebuilt Eddy 1406 carb which is later swapped out for a new one. New ceramic shorty headers, new plug wires and spark plugs, new chrome alternator, new harmonic balancer. At the same time I do the engine swap I install a new power steering pump and new power steering gear box, she's fun to drive now. Also I install a new 4 core radiator and new hoses.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"
