Good point about the welding...learning to weld on tubes would be hard for a novice like me. I was just look at a some vids of a kid in florida with 4.8 in a ford Fairmont and he made his own kit using just truck manifolds and tubing and it turned out pretty good...here's the vid if u want to check it out...

Also I do see alotta turbo threads with guys using those Chinese gt35 and gt45 turbos and making good power without issues...even them guys on justchevytrucks are using them so maybe i'll use one of those. btw do I have to use the truck manifolds or would the fbody ones I have on the truck work too? I'm gonna have a ton of questions.
