I was thinking/hoping the same thing. Even though it's just a pace car, the car might have to be modified to meet safety (lol, right?) standards to run on the NASCAR track. The car is built/assembled in Australia for GM by Holden. It's good this wasn't during the 500, it's already going to be a PR mess for GM.
