Remember that your carburetor mount flange should be about level at fully assembled ride height. It's not really that important though. Close is good enough. Think of it, anytime you are driving up a slight hill, it's not level. Same with downhill. I'd just raise it enough to get the header tube clear and not worry about it any further.

So, who made the crossmember ?
