Pretty sure I read somewhere, but can't verify the veracity of the information, that from the mid forties to the early 80s, over half the trucks sold annually in the US were sold in Texas and Oklahoma. Makes sense. Funny story, I grew up in MA, but have spent most of my adult life in Oklahoma. Was back in MA a couple years ago and was at a Wal-mart. And when I came outside and started walking thru the parking lot, something looked odd and just wasn't right. What was it? Most of the vehicles were cars, not trucks, which is the absolute opposite here in Oklahoma.
