Unhappy Arg...

So I finally got the time to mess with the shifter on my truck today. I was having my dad help me...I figured I was going to be filing down stops...

While my dad was shifting it through, I heard a light metallic "ting!" as it hit L2. Lo and behold...I looked down and to my horror, the shift lever is hitting the exhaust pipe...square in the middle, since it was bent while the truck was a 3spd column-shifting manual. Arg.

So I'm stuck with no L1 unless I can mess with the exhaust some or get a new shifter that doesn't have clearance problems...

If it is just a small interferance, you could dent the pipe. Regardless to what the magizines want you to think, a small dent will not make any differance in HP levels.

Thing is, I don't really know just how much further it needs to go...

Besides...I do need an excuse to go to headers and fresh, higher-flowing duals with an H-pipe (since an X-pipe would be a pain and a half from the look of it)... hehe
