clutch noise
anyone know how i can eliminate slave cylinder piston creak
i tried blasting some oil in drain hole bottom of bell housing where slave unit is mounted, the noise is coming from here , as i had someone engage the clutch while i was underneath. do i need to remove the slave unit to lube piston? no need to remove hydraulic line? never did this before.. |

Re: clutch noise
I have never had on that made noises. Your idea makes sense, but to me it sounds like a replacement of the slave cylinder is due.
Note/Afterthought....I wonder if your throw-out bearing on the clutch is the part of the issue.

Re: clutch noise
I had one vehicle that it was accessible for the outside of the bell housing and one I had to remove the tranny to access it inside the bell housing. (V6 C1500 and S10 4 banger) I don't remember which one was which. The outside one was very easy.

Good. Glad it works, hopefully for a LONG time.
