My '48 Willys

This is what I've been playing with until I got my pick-up

It's a 2wd Willys Overland. The drivetrain consists of a '85 231 Buick that's .030" over, Comp. cam, 9:5 compression, balanced. The trans is a modified 2004r O/D, rear is from a Monte Carlo SS w/3:73 gears

Re: My '48 Willys

Had a few of those Buick V-6's back in the day when they were installed in the 70's era Olds Starfire's and Buick Skyhawks. Great little engine. Couldn't figure out how in the world to make them a performance engine and got really confused when the parts guys asked "even fire" or "odd fire". Kinda gave up after being unable to answer that question.
Used to do drag races between lights when stationed down in Texas many years ago and always was able to smoke cars that challenged me.

Re: My '48 Willys

Yep, it's a spunky little motor. Lots of low speed grunt and doesn't like to rev beyond 5500. The 4 speed auto definitely allows the engine to work well with a good street gear
