Unless you're restoring a truck 100% stock truck its pretty tough to beat the newer aftermarket systems. The original system needs to be converted to 134a refrigerant and it doesnt love the old flare fittings. Otherwise you have to run r12 and thats getting really costly and hard to get. Just like anything else its all personal preference and I still love seeing trucks with a working original system on them.
