Reverse polarity module questions.

So I have nu relic power windows I'm installing in my 67. The motors are reverse polarity and I want to use the switches they used in the 60s so my question is will this be to small to operate the motors if I wire them in? Add says 24v and 10 amps. I assume it would still work with only 12 volts? Looks like 14g out and 16g in wires on it as well. Would be 1 for each motor.

Re: Reverse polarity module questions.

OK so they do make these in 12v but are currently out of stock.

Re: Reverse polarity module questions.

That is an interesting module, but you can probably achieve the same thing with a couple of automotive relays to replace the module. This relay guide shows how to use automotive relays for a whole bunch of topics. Reversing polarity for power locks is one of the first topics and I think it would be the same for power windows. https://www.davebarton.com/pdf/RelayGuide.pdf

Re: Reverse polarity module questions.

To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, this is a rough diagram. The caveat is I've not tested this, but I didn't find any clear diagrams on the web for this so threw one together.

Re: Reverse polarity module questions.

There's a lot of cool things you can do with relays on that page. Thanks for posting it.
