Cracked Exhaust Manifold and Replacement

I thought that my cracked ear was causing my exhaust leak and didn't even see the crack in the body of the manifold. Suprisingly not very loud. Curious as to what the "replacement" came off of.

What are the 4 bolts at each exhaust port for, EGT's?

Re: Cracked Exhaust Manifold and Replacement

The four bolts on the replacement manifold are to seal the AIR injection holes.

If I read the numbers on the replacement manifold correctly, the manifold is off of a 69-72 SBC truck engine.

Re: Cracked Exhaust Manifold and Replacement

So were those CA only, certain years? I am under the impression that my truck was all original and I didn't think that emissions stuff was all that prevelant on trucks that far back.
