boxing in frame

looking at building a pro street truck and was curious how much hp the frame can take without twisting excessively. Curious of how many people have boxed it in or if it is worth messing with.

Re: boxing in frame

A buddy of mine drag races his all steel 68 swb. It has a 555 bbc and runs mid 9's at 3700 feet. It pulls the front tires HARD on that old barn door but she runs. No frame tweaking at all thus far and just this year after 8 yrs of wheel yanking, he has had to adjust one lower fender gap. And it was better than most trucks ive seen that are "show trucks"
