Amp gauge to volt meter kit

Has anyone did one of these volt meter conversion kits on successfully? I put one on and the voltmeter works, but my temperature gauge went over to H and stayed there. Any ideas?

Re: Amp gauge to volt meter kit

Describe how you wired in the voltmeter. If you tied the voltmeter to the temperature gauge for 12V, then I'm wondering if maybe you connected it to the wrong terminal on the temperature gauge.

Re: Amp gauge to volt meter kit

I wired it according to a sketch Tbone sent. I'm thinking maybe I have the posts of the temp gauge grounded to the tin. I'll check it out today. Thanks for the reply.

Re: Amp gauge to volt meter kit

I found the problem.... my error....while installing voltmeter, turned the insulated breaker left and right and it goes up and down. Didn't damage anything, just pegged the temp gauge to H. Thank you guys for being willing to help. Have a great day
