Re: using 4.3L v6 brackets
Allthough we have not tried the 4.3L acc brackets, Looking at our 96 S10 4.3L brackets and our 98 K2500 w/350 vortec I would say yes providing you use the complete system off the 4.3L engine. Now that being said I am comparing the S10 system, not the 1500 truck acc bracket set. There may be some differences in hardware though as the 4.3 brackets will use all metric and the 87 may not. Try it.

Re: using 4.3L v6 brackets
You need a crankshaft pulley off a V8 truck. The V6 uses a real thin harmonic balancer and therefore a deeper pulley to compensate. When you install that pulley onto the V8 engine with it's thicker harmonic balancer, you'll find it now set out too far to align with the belt.
