Will These Work? Headers For LY6

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHEVY-CAMARO...ht_2583wt_1002

I'm would like to know if they will fit my 72 truck 2wd for my LY6 swap and if anyone has had experience with these. I would love your thoughts on these. Thanks

Looks like they will fit around the engine mounts, but may cause problems at the lower control arms and possibly engine crossmember. Also, hard to tell how far they protrude from the head- that may cause framerail interference. Another thing to consider would be ground clearance- I would want them at least as high as the trans pan, unlike 98-02 Camaro headers, which hang down a few inches.

Re: Will These Work? Headers For LY6

Ok, these appear to be a knock-off of the Borla longtubes. They look not to hang down to far and that they would clear the control arms. Plug wire clearance is nice, too. Still unsure about the engine mounts and frame. Quality control is notoriously poor on the Chinese headers- some get lucky on fitment, others notsomuch...

Try 'em out and tell us if they fit!

I was actually considering giving the 2" primary 3" collector set a try. They also have a ball flange on the collector.

Re: Will These Work? Headers For LY6

I got a set of ^ those headers in today. They clear the DM brackets and the lower frame on the passengers side by about 1/16". It would require some trimming or tweaking them towards the block a tad. Where it all goes wrong for me is they hang about an inch below the bottom of the frame. They worked better than the 98-02 headers but still not right. Again, this is on a Dropmembered truck. They may work out pretty well on a stock frame.
