Nice deals! You gonna build the Panel, Burb, or both?

Edit: I get it now. That's gonna be unique!

Re: Just bought a 1968 panel 4wd

Bisquick posted a picture of the panel that he spoke of,I believe that it was blue, but as I recall, the owner wasnt too hospitable. I tried to get a piece of that truck too. I have wanted one for more years than I care to mention. Since there are not too many, I guess that I'll have to go the hard route. The suburban begins its 2300 mile trip on Friday. Although the body is trash, the interior is real nice.Working front and rear air and cruise, yet a no gauge dash?? I'll be parting the burb.I have little info on the panel except that its rust free except the drivers floor/rocker area and the drivers door.
VT I like that 70 swb 4x4 of yours.

Re: Just bought a 1968 panel 4wd

I did the same thing a while back to build a K/20`Burb.The C/20 came from AZ.It was a`71,just like the K/20 I had from this area that was rust but way optioned-out.The C/20 was rust-free,CustomDeluxe,and working A/C.I went ahead and put the rusty(still looked pretty good)on the C/20 frame and got $500 w/o a motor.
Have fun with it(them)!

Re: Just bought a 1968 panel 4wd

I gotta call from the transporter last night but missed the call. It should be a warning call that the sub is near. As for the panel? It left San Bernidino ( I'm a tearable spellerer ) last friday. Looks like I'm gonna be a busy guy this winter. Burr, mostly outside work too. I already have a full shop. Thanks for the interest. Is there anyone interested in the rolling panel frame? 3/4 ton with a 292,no trans. or is it something for the dump?

Re: Just bought a 1968 panel 4wd

Well, it was a big weekend. The phone call from the shipper was for the panel. It made the trip from southern Cal. to the mid atlantic in just 4 1/2 days. While I was unloading it, the call from the other transporter came and the burb was unloaded on Sat. . It took 15 days for it to come from Idaho. It took all weekend to relocate my growing fleet parking so that I remain on the favorable side of the neighborhood.Beside the driver rocker and a hole in the bottom of the driver door, this truck is rock solid. I'm very pleased.

Special K , I would be more than happy to get together with you.

Eastern, I'm not sure about the frames but I sure am hoping that they are the same. if you find out that they are the same, and want to purchase it, drop me a PM, as I cant sell in this forum. I'll give you first shot before I list it.
