How about some Binocular photos and talk about them

I won a $100 from a forum I belong to and it was to be spent at a gun shop & pawn . So I bought this brand new pair along with $200 ,,I think I got a good deal too.

They are 10x43 and what I see through them is real clear ..man,, some of these glasses are expensive .. I am afraid to spend that much for reasons of family will be looking through these also and its to big a risk ..

I am using these for just looking up on the hill sides of the Snake river for deer and bear and wolves and maybe a (big foot).. lol

How about you guys ,,what do you have and whats your expertise on binoculars and what your thoughts on what glasses are best for what..

Re: How about some Binocular photos and talk about them

I never thought that really good optics were worth the price UNTIL I got a pair of Swarovski compact binoculars a few years ago. The list price on them was around $800.00 but I found a pair that had been returned to Cabelas (in the bargain cave in Sidney Nebraska) for $300 bucks! I couldn't pass them up for that price. I guess the original buyer must have had buyers remorse....I kind of felt bad for spending $300 bucks on them until I took them out on a hunting trip....they performed flawlessly. I'm glad I bought them.

Exactly my thoughts ,,didnt know what I was missing until I bought these ,,I never used them out in Oregon on the west coast as there are so much brush ,,with the ones I did have,,couldnt get phocused on anything at all.

Plan on using here in Idaho this comming year ,,Im happy like you about getting them cheaper ,,makes you fell like its more ok to spend the money ..

Cannon 15X50 w/ image stabilizer , very nice and very expensive (gift) . I had/have an older pair of Cannon binocular's and they don't compare . I gave my Grandson the old ones.

on another note, they are very heavy and I don't think they'd be practical for hunt'n . roughly 2.5 to 3 pounds.
