bought a 66 long fleet

hi. i just bought a 66 long fleet bbw for parts with a lot of options. i got it on saturday but now the more i look at it, i think it may be a low mileage truck and it would be a shame to part it out.. what do you guys think? is it a 36k or 136k truck?

Re: bought a 66 long fleet

NICE! Big window, a/c, I'd say you found a nice one. I'm diggin the color also. Congrats. Mo pics! Mo pics! Mo pics! (that's me chanting)

Oops - missed you question - NO, DON'T PART IT OUT!!! Rebuild it, that's a pretty nice truck!

38 K or 138K - who cares, keep it and fix er up. (I'd bet 138K, but I'd believe 38K)

Sweet options on that one!! I'd keep it together unless you have a builder and could transfer all the parts. A/C, shiny knobs, underdash ashtray!!!

Re: bought a 66 long fleet

Way too nice for parts. That truck would be an easy restoration if someone wanted to bring it back to new. Wouldn't take much to make it a real nice driver.

If you would like to go back to a 283, they are still pretty plentiful.

Re: bought a 66 long fleet

that's interesting - agreed the factory code is fawn, however, the truck looks to have original paint on it, and it aint fawn...

Re: bought a 66 long fleet

whatever it is, it's nice. Always loved gold(ish) and white two-tone. Wrong forum, but for 67-72, hard for me to not drool on an ochra/white two-toner! Just love that combo.
