need some help
i just got my first standard hot rod its a saginaw 4 spd and was wondering if someone could help me out with this question how do u service the tranny (drain hole and fill) never serviced a standard always had automatics if someone could help thanks

well u can pullt he driveshaft out and jack the front up it will drain that way for the most part, then refill till it comes out the hole

Try pulling the lowest bolt for the tail housing.....IIRC, the hole goes through the main case). Jack er up as posted above, & just let it drip overnite. refilll,(you will find a plug on the pass side,about 1/2way up the maincase). It just needs to be @ the bottom edge of the threads ,with the truck back down on the wheels......or slightly dripping out the hole as stated above. crazyL

You could get a siphon pump at the auto parts store and pump it out too. Threw the fill hole.
