Well I know there are plenty of guys on here that ride bikes much like anywhere you have the big bike guys mostly Harley and then you have the crotch rocket guys. I myself am kinda new to street bikes but I'm wondering who around here rides older bikes and where you get your parts from. Lets see what you guys got. My newest purchase is a 1979 honda cb400ti hawk1.

I love working on vintage Japanese bikes (cheap hobby) and have been since the '70s, before they were vintage.
The little sportbikes are fun for riding. Been doing a cleanup and managed to whittle down my obsession to 3 keepers (the two Z1's and the xs750).

2 years ago I sold my 80 KZ750LTD. I ran into the Dad of the guy who bought it a couple weeks ago. He said it was too fast for Dad to keep up with.

many moons ago I had a 71 Honda CB350. it was actually a 325cc but after I got done with it, it was a 468. the gasket between the cylinders and the case was so thin it leaked oil everywhere. what a fun fast ride. 3rd gear wheelies and just about as tame as a psychotic ex-wife in menopause

here are my bikes, the blue one is a 78 honda cb400 hawk hondamatic its semiautomatic high/low gear no clutch with only 6100 original miles the yellow one is a 80 suzuki gn400 which they only made from 80-82 and the white one is a 86 suzuki savage drag bars s40 seat and pearl paint. i dont have much luck finding part except for ebay

Cool old bikes... I don't ride, but have a soft spot for the old import bikes.

My 79 Z50 automatic soft tail. Now sporting a 125CC 5spd, 4" extended swingarm, oversized shocks, 10" XL70 rims, custom exhaust, custom cafe bars, CDi ignition and the fattest street tires I could fit. It does every bit of 60 and is down right scary.

I sort of have a passion for older Japanese bikes. The Yamaha Enduro series is my favorite but I like most all types. Here are a few of my Restos.

Sorry for the multiple posts...ipad isn't the best at resizing.
None of my stuff gets restored...i get them with issues, and then clean them up and get them running right. I truly appreciate the full on restores, I just like the original, worn ones better. If i had the patience for a restore I'm sure I'd feel different.
2 year only '83 CR60. Bought as a basket case. The old small bore two strokes rip!

Last 2 bikes were American made but the 2 before were Japanese.
Good bikes lots of fun. I beat the snot out of the CX500. The Vmax was not much for long rides or comfort but it hauled. Low end torque and great top end power.

I believe that at one point in time the Vmax was the fastest production bike in the world.

The "efficient" ride to work (1978). Got it for a good price of freeeeee. 500mi so far. 4 carbs is a pain.
