Probably discussed many times....but can someone please tell me what all would need to be done/changed to bolt a 69 hood onto a 68 if anything.

Re: 69 Hood onto 68

Well I can tell you from experience it won't bolt up. If I remember correctly the 69 hood is a too "snubbed nosed" so the front edge doesn't come out to the slightly pointed front of the 67-68. Not to say you couldn't get creative with metal work and fabricate things to look right, but it will not bolt up and latch.

Re: 69 Hood onto 68

I was always wondering if you could get the top bar off of a 69-72 GMC as a gap filler for a 69 hood on a 68?

Re: 69 Hood onto 68

I no on the gmc all you have to do is change the grill and latch and the hood I run a 67 gmc hood and grill on my 71 gmc. But on the Chevys 69-72 they are different you would have to change fenders hoods grill but I think the core supports are the same. Not sure if that helps
