Planetary Gear stuck - TH350

So far disassembly is going well, but now i cannot get the Planetary Gear off the shaft.
I removed the snap ring (after 30ish tries!), and it's loose of the shaft, but will not slide off.
Is it that tight off a fit? Feels loose, but not over the splines?
Is it a bad idea to use a gear puller?
Anyone have a tip or trick to share?

Re: Planetary Gear stuck - TH350

Ha!
Nevermind, i got it!
Put my knee against the bell housing and just pulled really hard!
However, any explanation as to the difficulty would make for good knowledge?
