Please help mirror install

Hello, i have a few questions about mirrors.
1. Are the round mirrors with the long ss arms factory on ALL 67's?
2. I am converting my sports mirrors to these ss arms and need to kno the measurement where to drill the holes?

I have a 67 cab but i am questioning the year of the doors. there are no previous holes or back plates. Thanks in advanced... Joe

Re: Please help mirror install

I think if they are original 67 doors there is a difference with the door handle mount. I know the 67 door handles were specefic and Im sure the door had something different inside the door behind the handle. A 67 guy should be able to chime in.

Check out this thread. I can measure the exact spot for those mirrors when I get my cab back next week if no one chimes in sooner

Re: Please help mirror install

most but not all 67's had painted mirror arms and mirrors , a lot of the 67's did not even have a mirror on the passenger side at all , the position of the mirror holes on 67 68 is the same

Re: Please help mirror install

Thanks for the replies. nice to kno i did buy oem style mirrors to keep it close to original. found out the difference of the doors thanks to blkcorvair.. the 67's have a plate on the inside for the outer handle.. i am now sure they're not 67's.. no plate and sports mirrors.. for the time being i need mirrors and my doors are both rotten so im not worried about ruining them. can someone give me the measurements for the round mirrors??.. i made back plates and i am using lock nuts too. thanks
