Re: show me your brown truck!

I love brown trucks. Green too. A couple years ago at the Car Craft show in St. Paul, MN I saw a late 70's F-250 painted with Kameleon that shifted from green to brown!! Expensive yes, but very very cool.

Re: show me your brown truck!

I'll admit this wasn't my first color choice when I bought this truck more than 15 years ago. But I overlooked it since it was exactly the truck I wanted otherwise (454/400 turbo 1 ton single axle and loaded with options) and it only had 70,000 miles, rust free and original paint. The rust free and original paint took presidence over anything else. Didn't want something that had been messed around with so I couldn't be picky on colors.

Now that I get older, the odd colors grow on me. Being more of a muscle car collector I've gotten sick of the sea of blacks and reds. Now the odd colors attract me. Orange, green, brown, silver, blue are in the stable now. I sold the last red car I had

Here is mine, 1980 started life as a two tone, brown and tan (just like firbirdjones). It has been painted now for about 8 years.

That sir, is a very good looking shade of brown, with a hint of copper it appears.

If one day I ever decide to paint mine, I'll keep the 2-tone because I want to keep the moldings, but I'd like to change the chocolate looking brown to something like you have there. Very good looking.

Re: show me your brown truck!

Painted about 9 years ago now, from my understanding, the lighter brown is 'factory' according to the paint codes, but the real brown is a darker color, less golden.

P.s. - Don't mind the body damage, haha... Little 4x4 incident

Man I love those wheels Lunchbox. I have looked (I guess not hard enough) but have not seen those in anything but car lug patterns.

I have a rear end out of a 79 firebird(for the disk brakes and narrow) the fronts are 5on5 and very limited selection on those. used to have different wheels on front and had rotors drilled out for 4.75on5 at local machine shop...just an idea if you are really after some welds.
