Thinking of selling my collection

I've collected six 1965-66 long wide, 2WD Chev pickups. I'm realizing I'm getting to the age where I have way more projects than time.

If anyone's interested, I'd like to sell all 6 at once, rather than to hi-grade them and just end up with left over crap.

I'm in central New Mexico. If you're interested, let me know.

Re: Thinking of selling my collection

New TV reality series "Lords of the Car Hoards" you should call them. You might get a sweet truck out of the deal.
I realized after posting this you may think I was joking. I'm not, this really is a new show. They find people who have collections like yours and take the collection in exchange for fixing up one of the cars for the collection owner.

Its a Fake Show. Like the pickers & junkyard wars. its all staged & scripted. Remember If something seems to be to good to be true it usually isn't true. Im at the same time & place in life as the original poster. Im not interested in selling my best stuff to be left with the less desirable culls. So Im selling what I deem to be the culls for scrap. The scrap man has the cash and don't care about condition.

I suffer from the same malady. I also have too much stuff. I am making a little head way because Ive stopped adding to my hoard. I Havent brought home anything in two years. I have sold some. Just reciently I sold a 65 chev pk and a 53buick. I also sold tons of scrap last year. things like air cond evaporators heater cores ,aluminum radiators ,steel cut up into 3ft x 18 inches. I spotted a case tractor in you collection. I have two of the VAC case tractors. one even runs. Must not be any demand for them. I advertised mine on craigslist for scrap price and never got even one phone call. So they will likely be sent to the scrapper. Its just a question of when and who does it? It might be me in the near future or my family after I die?I don't feel bad or have remorse about recycling stuff. It only makes what is left more scarce and desirable. A complete 65 chev 1/2 ton pickup less the radiator heater core battery & copper wiring will weigh 4,100 pounds. I get $240 per ton. and by the time I sell the batt, copper ect I gross over $500 for a old beat up rusty hulk. and the lowballer tire kickers want to pick through my stuff and buy the best for a pittance. However Its still lots of fun. Im having more fun than a duck with two mud puddles.

Re: Thinking of selling my collection

Go Stranger, funny you asked about the 3100. There's also a 76 4wd Chevy out there that I want to put under it. That's a project I think I'll make the time to do. But thanks for asking.

Old man, I'll bet there are Case forums or collectors out there that may want your tractor. My plan is to search them out soon to get rid of mine.
