steering stabilizer

My 69 step is pretty "squirrly" up front. Prior owner logged over 150K so I am assuming part of my issue is ball joints. But, I was wondering about the worth of a steerring stabilizer? There is one listed in Chevy Duty I have my eye on? Anybody using one?? Worth the money??

Re: steering stabilizer

If you have a 4x4 maybe, 2wd I don't know anyone that uses one. Rebuilding your front suspension should fix most if not all your problems.

Re: steering stabilizer

71 2WD , PO put on a stabilizer , and I took it off ,no change in feel.

IMHO , save your money , and replace worn parts first.

Are you sure it's not the box that is bad ?

John.
