Whats the odds?

Just found out that the 71 c10 swb I bought last weekend belonged to one of my buddies 25 years ago. He is out of state at the moment but I've already received a message from him saying he would really like to own it again.

Re: Whats the odds?

If he wanted it so bad why did he sell it in the first place.
Kidding of course. Keep it.

Have your buddy find you a replacement. You guys could then swap trucks...Everybody wins.

He just wants what he can't have. It's yours, and should stay that way. It is cool that he would know some of the history though

Re: Whats the odds?

Well...if you are not attached to the 71 C10...see what he is willing to buy it back for.

Re: Whats the odds?

Here's a pic.

At this point my wife and son are already attached to the truck so he would have to pay some big bucks. Were not that good of buddies anyways lol.

I think when he bought it the body had just been done and it still is the same color. I don't know if he will know much about it but i'm sure gonna ask.

Re: Whats the odds?

Man, .. 25 years passed by, how were you supposed to know? IF he wants to buy it, I wouldn't price it to him but I'd let him make an offer. You never know. He may want it worse than you do (if you know what I mean?)

It's fair game at this point and I don't see that you should feel bad or obligated to sell it back to him.

I actually showed the truck to another buddy of mine and the first thing he said was ''That's Eddie's truck he had in High School''. Sent Eddie a pic and the first thing he said was ''I've been looking for that for a long time''.

I imagine it is indeed his old truck. I also can't imagine he was looking too hard for it as it sounds like the truck was always within about 30 miles of us. I'm not feeling obligated in any way to sell him the truck. I will probably just drive it back and forth in front of his house.
