What to keep off 72 for a 6 lug to 5 lug conversion?

Hey guys I will be going to pick up a 72 for the a/c cab and figured I may as well swap the stuff out for 5 lug. What do I need to keep off the front to convert to a 5 lug? I was thinkin about just unbolting the front crossmember and rolling it under mine.

using the entire front crossmember is the best way. Then the rear can also be swapped.

I just finished doing this on my 68. I just unbolted the entire crossmember and installed it on mine. Did the whole swap in a day.

You don't need to swap the crossmember unless you want to. IMO, it is less work to unbolt the control arm shafts and take everything from there on out. Be sure to get the steering linkage too, because the tie rod ends are different.
