STILL Working on a frame up: 1987 Truck body on a 78 Blazer frame. Need cab blasted to start project. Got the cab BLASTED, Now Prep and Paint. Started to lay SOME BONDO and primer. Done, Ordering paint. Got paint, Stuff painted,Cab,Fenders, Hood more later. 9/7/2015 Got the clear coat on,now time to take one off. Started to put things back (What a nightmare) like the heating and AC stuff, inside wire harness, outside AC unit and booster, still more. May 2016, still working on the inside. Got duck work in,heating and AC. Radio (stock) in dash with after market in console later, Speaker are hooked up, Steering column is in. Getting ready to drop the cab onto the frame, Working on engine now since I have the room. Well here it is 2018, got the engine in and it runs, now I need to get the exhaust system in so I can adjust the lifters, to loud right now. Got the exhaust on now I am waiting for the break parts to come in.

Re: Another AC Question

I guess I'll have to use JB Weld Plastic to fix this. This part is hard to find.

I broke the same part on mine but luckily I could get one out of a spare box that was good.

Re: Another AC Question

If you are creative, you can get some fiberglass gorilla hair body filler to make the repair. Or use fiberglass sheets and the 2 part epoxy. Nasty smelling stuff, but does work good once complete. You can do it in steps to just try and get a rough form on first layer then once set up, build it up on other side.

Works good and should be plenty strong enough.

Of course finding a replacement is also good...but if it's at a pick n pull, you get to do the whole thing all over again!

Heater core is not fun. You just have to take your time and devote a lot of time. Don't be in a rush to get it done so you can make that date with your wife/girlfriend. But satisfying once done!

Re: Another AC Question

Thanks everyone, I seen a few videos about using JB. Seems like it hardens up pretty good. Going that route. Also I thought I had another box,but with all the stuff I have been collection, you know what I mean.

Thanks John

Be careful with theses guys. They will show a part available, let you buy it then cancel the order because the part is not available. This is incredibly frustrating.
