307 intake and 2bbl carb vs 350 2 bbl intake and carb

I have a 72 307 2bbl carb and intake. Does a 350 2bbl and carb flow mor cfm?

Yes, the 350's got a bigger carb. I think the intake manifold may be the same but I'm not 100% positive.

Re: 307 intake and 2bbl carb vs 350 2 bbl intake and carb

Pretty sure the intake is the same. A long time ago, I swapped a 1968 4bbl intake off of a 327 onto a 79 305 that originally came with a 2 bbl. It all bolted up fine and did accomplish an EGR delete on the 79 but the 305 didn't benefit much from the 4bbl carb.

Don't expect much gain if you are transplanting the 350 carb onto the 307 if the current carb on the 307 is in good shape.

Ya know, back when we were racing stock cars, the hot ticket was a 350 carb on a 283. I think we did have to change the intake manifold too. It was a lot faster than the stock 283 setup and you couldn't compete unless you had the bigger carb. I do believe the 350 carb won't bolt on the 283/307 manifold

Cad-Al is correct. The larger carb has a larger mounting surface & the manifold has larger openings. The larger manifold will fit a 307 engine though.
