6:30 sun isn't up over the mountain yet . Weather looks good for the trip. Oil changed and new oil feed line installed on turbo. Were ready to roll

Re: Road trip tomorrow
Sounds like nothing a sub and a bourbon before bed wouldn't fix

Re: Road trip tomorrow
I worried about the original tires on my '96 trailer until a couple years ago when I replaced them. Thankfully they were made prior to the formula they now use that assures a tire will fly apart seven years after DOM. My '71 wrecker had tires on it from my '70 C/30 that I bought in '89 that were still good. Now the two year old tires I bought are almost bald and I use the trailer a lot less than I used to. When did underhanded marketing tactics take over from just offering a good product. No smoke and mirrors for me, please and thank you.

Re: Road trip tomorrow
Seven? Out here in sunny Cal they tell us a five year old tire is out of warranty, by age. I have a 3 year old Kia Forte with less than 14k miles on it. When the tires "expire" in two years, they will likely only have 25k miles on them. I'll continue to drive it around town like I do until it looks like they HAVE to be replaced. I wouldn't be taking it on the freeway, though.

Re: Road trip tomorrow
I thought you were going to drive the burb! Now that would have been a great trip! Used to do that stuff all the time when I was young. Bought a $100 69 Nova from the original owner and Immediately drove it from S.F. to Tahoe in the snow with no chains. Good times. In for burb pics and fixes! I have always liked them but could never afford the fuel.
